Nathan D. Nelson is an associate attorney at Jeffrey Burr. He focuses his practice in Estate Planning and Probate. Nathan graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 2019 and earned his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV in 2024, achieving Dean’s List honors throughout his studies. While in law school, Nathan externed with Probate Commissioner James Fontano in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada, gaining valuable experience in probate proceedings and deepening his understanding of the essential role of estate planning. He also demonstrated leadership as President of both the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and the Transactional Law Society, which he founded. Nathan participated in mock trials, negotiation, and moot court competitions , and volunteered teaching legal education classes at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. During his final semesters, he authored research papers on Domestic Asset Protection Trusts and the implications of probate advancements in Nevada’s probate courts. Prior to law school, he worked as a Risk Consultant Manager at Landmark Risk Management and Insurance, delivering strategic risk assessment and management services to businesses and individuals. Nathan is now preparing to further specialize by pursuing an LLM in Taxation.
