Jeffrey L. Burr has been recognized as one of the top tax and estate planning attorneys in the Southwest. Through his years of community service and continual hard work, his personal client list contains many of the most prominent families in Southern Nevada. Under Jeff’s leadership, the firm has received the highest and most prestigious rating of “AV” from Martindale-Hubbell. Jeff's community involvement includes having been elected to the Clark County School Board and serving on boards such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, KLVX Planned Giving, St. Rose Dominican Foundation, Nevada State College, The Giving Tree, LDS Philanthropies, and others.
Jeff has been named by his peers as one of the top estate planning attorneys in Southern Nevada in every edition of Best Lawyers in America and was named the top estate planner in Nevada by a Las Vegas Business Press survey of Nevada attorneys. Jeff is also a retired Certified Public Accountant, having previously worked as a tax accountant with the international accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. He is a member of the American Bar Association Section on Taxation, former member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council, and former Chairman of the Section on Taxation for the State Bar of Nevada. Jeff has also been a faculty member for many continuing education programs, such as the University of Miami School of Law, Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.
Jeff has published in Nevada Lawyer, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and The Silver State CPA. He also authored a book entitled The Nevada Estate Planning Product Guide.
Jeff obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and later his Juris Doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979.
Jeff is licensed to practice law in Nevada, California, and Arizona.
